Video Digitizing Hardware

There's lots of video digitizing hardware on the market and it changes daily.  We've used the KWorld V-Stream VS-L833D (sold as Xpert - DVD Maker) and the Winnov Videum 1000 Plus and 1010 Plus PCI cards.

However some others have failed miserably even with Microsoft's own image capture software:

Aleratec DV Cruiser

This USB device utterly failed to work although the manufacturer tested the device and assures us it is working properly.

Dazzle Digital Video Creator 90

This USB device proved hard to set up but can be made to work.  Unfortunately the problems seemed to be different on different computers.
