TranslateCaption is a tool for translating captions or subtitles from one language to another.  Captions can be quickly and efficiently translated into a second language using a TCW file made by AutoCaption™.  Captions made this way are convenient for re-captioning a video or adding additional channels of captioning.

• TranslateCaption lets the captioner preserve the timing and positioning of the original captions.

Technical Requirements

• A Windows® 2000, XP, or Vista operating system
• 250Meg of RAM (Vista should have 500Meg).
• 800MHz or faster CPU.
• Both TranslateCaption and the TCW files are small so 5 Meg of hard drive space is sufficient.  If your computer is not up to the task, remember that you can uninstall any part of the AutoCaption system quickly, cleanly, and completely.

Easy To Use

Just type the translation next to each caption and email the TCW file back to the captioner.  You can get foreign language spelling dictionaries from Wintertree™ or even make your own. (more...)

Using TranslateCaption is a simple efficient way for captioners to tap international translating talent without having to redo other captioning tasks like timing and positioning.

The current TranslateCaption installation package for version 3.0 build 204 is about 4.5 Meg.
